1 Shepherd
Ezekiel prophesies about a time when Israel will have 1 shepherd and live in the land promised to Jacob.
Ezekiel 37:24-28
24My servant David will be king over them and they will all have 1 shepherd. They will walk in my judgments and preserve my commandments and do them.
25They will live in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, in which their fathers lived, and they will live in it and they and their sons and their sons' sons to eternity and my servant David will be their prince to eternity.
Ezekiel 37:24-2526I will make a contract of peace with them. It will be an everlasting contract with them. I will multiply them and set my holy place among them forever.
27The house of my dwelling will be in them and they will be my people.

1Isaac called Jacob and blessed him and commanded him and said to him, You will not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

Genesis 28:1-4FE 5Isaac sent Jacob away and he went to Padan of Aram to Laban son of Bethuel the Aramean the brother of Rebekah the mother of Jacob and of Esau.
6Esau saw that Isaac had blessed his brother Jacob and sent him away to Padan of Aram to take for himself a wife from there and that as he blessed him he commanded him saying, You will not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan,
7and that Jacob listened to his father and to his mother and went to Padan of Aram.

11He arrived at a certain place and spent the night there because the sun was set. He took of the stones of the place and put them for his pillows and lay down in that place to sleep.

Genesis 28:10-1213The Master stood above it and said, I am the god of your father Abraham and the god of Isaac. The land on which you are lying I will give to you and to your seed.
14Your seed will be as numerous as the dust of the land and you will spread abroad to the east and west and north and south. In you all the families of the land will be blessed and in your seed.
15I am with you and will preserve you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done the thing of which I spoke to you.
Genesis 28:13-1516Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, Surely the Master is in this place and I did not know it.
