Tree of Life

The tree of life yields 12 kinds of crops. The number points at a similar description of the tree in Ezekiel.

Revelation 22:1-5

1He showed me a pure river of water of life clear as crystal gushing out of the throne of god FA and of the lamb. Revelation 22:12In the middle of the street and on either side of the river was the tree of life which bore 12 kinds of fruit. Each month it yielded of its fruit and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the peoples. M Genesis 2:9 FA 3What withers will not be any longer and the throne of god and of the lamb will be in it and his servants will serve him 4and they will see his face and his name will be between their eyes. Revelation 22:2-45There will not be night there and they will neither need lights nor lamps nor the light of the sun for master god shines on them and they will reign forever and ever. Revelation 22:5 (Revelation 22:1-5 BRB)

Ezekiel

The tree of life is described in Ezekiel in a manor consistent with the description in Revelation.

FE 1He led me and brought me to the gate of the house and water issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward and the water was flowing down from under the side of the house at the south side of the altar. E Joel 3:18 2He brought me out by the way of the north gate and led me around the way outside to the gate of the court that faces to the east and I saw water was going out from its right side. Ezekiel 47:1-23The man that had the measuring line in his hand went forth and measured 1,000 cubits and brought me in waters to the ankles. 4He measured 1,000 cubits and brought me in waters to the knees. He measured 1,000 cubits and brought me in waters to the loins. 5He measured 1,000 cubits and it was a river that no man could pass, for the waters were risen so high and the river had become so turbulent that no man could pass it. I Isaiah 11:15 FE 6He said to me, Son of man, do you see this? Ezekiel 47:3-6He brought me to the edge of the river. FE 7When I was brought I saw that at the edge of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other. 8He said to me, FE These waters that are issuing out toward the east region and flowing down toward the north will go into the sea and mingle with the stagnant water and make it fresh. 9It will come to pass that every living creature that swarms wherever the river will flow will live and there will be many fish because of the waters that flow there and make the water fresh. 10It will come to pass that fishermen will stand beside it from En Gedi to En Eglaim and it will be a place to spread forth nets and there will be very many kinds of fish in it, as the fish of the great sea, exceedingly many, 11but the water in its springs and mouths will not be fresh, but it will become salt. 12By the river, on its edges, on this side and on that side, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not fall off nor will their fruit fail. In the beginning of every month they will bring forth new fruit, FE because the water with which they are irrigated flows from the holy place. Their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing. M Genesis 2:9 A Matthew 5:6 Ezekiel 47:6-12 (Ezekiel 47:1-12 BRB)

Ezekiel does not use the title "tree of life," but the trees are on the bank of a river, yield crops every month and heal with their leaves.
