1The hand of the Master was on me and he carried me out FE in the spirit of the Master and set me down in a valley which was full of bones. 2He caused me to pass around them and there were very many in the valley and they were very dry. 3He said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? Ezekiel 37:1-3I answered, You know, Master of masters. A 2 Corinthians 6:9 Ezekiel 37:34He said to me, Prophesy concerning these bones and say to them, Dry bones, hear the word of the Master. 5Thus says the Master of masters to these bones, FE I will cause breath to enter into you and you will live. 6I will lay sinews on you and bring flesh on you and cover you with skin and I will put breath in you and you will live FE and you will know that I am the Master. Numbers

The thing with four corners or compass points in the book of Numbers is the arrangement of the camp of the 12 tribes of Israel during their journey in the wilderness. The tribes camped in 4 groups of 3, with each group staked at a compass point and the tribe of Levi in the middle tending to Yahvah's tabernacle.

FE 1The Master spoke with Moses and with Aaron and said to them, 2Every man will camp by his own banner with the mark of the house of his father of the children of Israel around the tent of time. Numbers 2:1-23Those who camp 1st toward the east will be of the banner of the camp of Judah according to their hosts and the head of the children of Judah Nahshon son of Amminadab. 4The number of his host was 74,600. Numbers 2:1617Then the tent of time will march with the camp of the Levites in the middle of the camps. As they camped so they will march every man by his banner. Numbers 2:18-1920Those who camp by him will be the tribe of Manasseh and the head of the children of Manasseh Gamaliel son of Pedahzur. 21The number of his host was 32,200. Numbers 2:20-2122Then will camp the tribe of Benjamin and the head of the children of Benjamin Abidan son of Gideoni. 23The number of his host was 35,400. Numbers 2:3132These are the numbers of the children of Israel by the house of their fathers; all those who were numbered of the camps throughout their hosts were 603,550. 33The Levites and the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among the children of Israel as the Master commanded Moses. Numbers 2:32-3334The children of Israel did according to all that the Master commanded Moses, so they marched by their banners and so they camped every man in his camp according to the house of his fathers. Numbers 2:34 (Numbers 2 BRB)

The arrangement of the camp also dictated the marching order of the tribes when they set out for a new location. This plays to the way the bones in Ezekiel were a great army.

The setting of Ezekiel's vision was out in a valley. This plays to the wilderness setting of Israel in the book of Numbers.

The dead bones in the valley also matches the way a whole generation of Israelites died in the wilderness. Can these bones live? They can. Can these enter the promised land? They can.
