Isaiah Ezra
Isaiah chapter 16 and the book of Ezra.
FE 1I will send to the son of the ruler of the land from the rock of the wilderness to the mountain of the daughter of Zion. I Obadiah 1:1
2He will be like a bird that leaves his nest and the daughters of Moab will be deserted at the passing of Arnon.
Isaiah 16:1-23Take counsel and execute judgment and make your shadow as the night in the middle of the noonday. Hide the outcasts and he who wanders do not betray.
4Let the outcasts of Moab live with you and be a shelter to them from before the spoiler, Isaiah 16:3-4for the destroyer is at an end and the spoiler ceases and the oppressors are consumed out of the land.
5In mercy a throne will be established and he will sit on it in truth in the tent of David, a judge who seeks judgment and hurries righteousness.
Isaiah 16:4-56We have heard of the pride of Moab. He is very proud even of his pride and elevation and wrath. I Obadiah 1:3 Did his augurers not so predict concerning him?
7Therefore Moab will howl and everyone will howl for Moab, for the foundations of the walls that are destroyed. They will groan like the sick,
8for the fields of Heshbon languish. The vine of Sibmah the mighty men of the peoples have cut down its branches. They are come as far as Jazer. They wandered through the wilderness. Its shoots spread out and are gone over the sea.
9Therefore I will cause you to weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah. I will water you with your tears Heshbon and Elealeh, for an oppressor has come against your harvest and the gathering of your grapes. I Obadiah 1:5
10Gladness and joy are taken away out of the plentiful field and in the vineyards there will not be rejoicing nor will there be shouting nor will they tread out wine in the winepress nor will men tread out wine with their feet, for I have made the vine treaders cease.
11Therefore my heart will lament like a harp for Moab and my soul for the fortified walls which will be destroyed.
12It will come to pass when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high places that he will come to the holy place to pray, but he will not prevail. I Obadiah 1:17
Isaiah 16:6-1213This is the word that the Master has spoken concerning Moab since that time.
14But now the Master has spoken saying, Within 3 years as the years of an employee the glory of Moab will be despised with all that great multitude of his people and the remnant will be very small and feeble. I Obadiah 1:18 Isaiah 16:13-14 (Isaiah 16 BRB)
Send Lambs
2Cyrus, king of Persia, says: Ezra 1:2All the kingdoms of the land FE the Master, the god of the skies, has given me. He has commanded me to build him a house in Jerusalem, the city which is in Judah.
3Who is there among you of all his people, his god be with him, let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of FE the Master, the god of Israel. He is the god who is in Jerusalem.
4All who remain from any place where he temporarily resides, let the men of his place help him 1|4 with silver, 2|4 and with gold, 3|4 and with livestock, 4|4 and with animals, together with the freewill offering for the house of god which is in Jerusalem. Ezra 1:2-4 (Ezra 1:2-4 BRB)
Outcasts
61Of the children of the priests: Children of Habaiah, children of Hakkoz, children of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai the Gileadite and was called after their name.
Ezra 2:6162These sought their register among those who were reckoned by genealogy but they were not found therefore they were removed from the priesthood.

FE 1The adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the children of the captivity were building the temple to the Master the god of Israel.
2They came to Zerubbabel and to the chiefs of the fathers and said to them, Let us also build with you for we seek your god as you do and we have been sacrificing to him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria who brought us up here. Ezra 4:1-2 (Ezra 4:1-2 BRB)

Heard About Moab
FE 1When these things were completed the elders came to me saying, The people of Israel and the priests and the Levites have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands doing according to their abomipeoples even of the Canaanites and the Hethites and the Perizzites and the Jebusites and the Ammonites and the Moabites and the Mizraim and the Amorites. Foundations
8Now, for a little while, favor has been shown from the Master our god to leave us a remnant, and to give us a place in his holy land, that our god may lighten our eyes and grant us a little reviving in our bondage.
9For we are bondmen, yet our god has not forsaken us in our bondage, but our god has granted mercy in the eyes of the kings of Persia, and has cared for us today to set up the house of our god and to repair its ruins and to give us a secure place in Judah and in Jerusalem. Eat From the Land
12Now do not give your daughters to their sons, nor take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity forever that you may be strong and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your sons forever. (Ezra 9:12 BRB)
Prayer at Sanctuary
FE 1When Ezra had prayed and when he had confessed prostrating himself and weeping before the house of the Master, there assembled to him out of Israel a very great assembly of men and women and sons, for the sons wept bitterly. Ezra 10:1-4 (Ezra 10:1 BRB)
Word of Yahvah
2Shechaniah son of Nehael, 1 of the children of Elam, answered and said to Ezra the scribe, We have transgressed against our god, and have taken foreign wives of the people of the land; now is there any hope for Israel concerning this thing?
3Therefore let us make a contract with our god to put away all the alien wives and those who are born of them according to the counsel of our master and of those who are afraid from the law of our god and his commandment. Do it now and be strong. (Ezra 10:2-3 BRB)
3 Years/Days
7They made a proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem to all the children of the captivity that they should gather themselves together to the city of Jerusalem,
8and that whoever would not come within 3 days it should be done to him according to the counsel of the elders and the chiefs; all his wealth could be forfeited and he himself separated from the people of Israel. Ezra 10:7-8 (Ezra 10:7-8 BRB)
