Isaiah Numbers
Isaiah 3:12-4:6 covers the Spies Give an Evil Report, 40
Year Sentence, and Fruit of the Land stories in the book of Numbers.
12.1The princes will pluck my people out
12.2and women will rule over them.
12.3My people, your leaders have caused you to err
12.4and disturbed the way of your paths. I Numbers 25:1-4
Isaiah 3:1213.1The Master stands up to plead
13.2and stands to judge his people. I Numbers 25:6-8
14.1The Master will enter into judgment
14.2with the elders of his people and its princes.
14.3You have burned the vineyard
14.4and the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
15.1Why did you sting my people
15.2and shame the faces of the poor,
15.3says the Master of Hosts.
Isaiah 3:13-1516.1Because the daughters of Zion have become haughty
16.2and walk with stretched forth necks and wanton eyes
16.3making a tinkling with their feet.
17.1Therefore, the Master will bring low the heads of the daughters of Zion
17.2and the Master will lay bare their secret parts.
Isaiah 3:16-1718In that day the Master will take away 1|20 the beauty of their apparel
2|20 19and their adornments 3|20 and their necklaces 4|20 and the braids of their hair 5|20 and their chains 6|20 and their hats 7|20 and their veils
8|20 20and the paint of their faces 9|20 and their earrings 10|20 and their strings of beads
11|20 21and the ornaments of their legs 12|20 and their chains
13|20 22and their garments of varied colors 14|20 and their mantles 15|20 and their fine linens 16|20 and their purple garments
17|20 23and their long outer garments 18|20 and their purple robes 19|20 and their scarlet robes 20|20 and the wardrobe of all their adornments.
Isaiah 3:18-2324.1It will come to pass that instead of a sweet smell there will be a stink
24.2and instead of an ornamental belt a worker's apron
24.3and instead of curled hair baldness
24.4and instead of purple robes a girding of sackcloth,
24.5for their beauty will be destroyed.
25.1Your mighty men will fall by the sword
25.2and your valiant men in the battle.
26.1Her gates will lament and mourn
26.2and her victory will turn to defeat. I Numbers 25:16-18 Isaiah 3:24-26
1.1In that day 7 women
1.2will take hold of 1 man, saying,
1.3We will eat our own bread
1.4and wear our own apparel
1.5only let us be called by your name
1.6to take away our disgrace. I Numbers 27:1-4
Isaiah 4:1 2In that day the branch of the Master will shine forth and the fruit of the land will be excellent and pleasing for the remnant of Israel.
3It will come to pass that he who is left in Zion and he who remains in Jerusalem will be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem,
4when the Master will have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and will have purged the bloodshed from the middle of Jerusalem by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of purging.
5The Master will create on every dwelling place of the mount of Zion all around a cloud by day and the smoke and shining of a flaming fire by night, for the glory of the Master will be a shelter over all. I Numbers 28:2
6There will be a shelter for a shade in the day time from the heat and for a place of refuge and for a shelter from the storm and from the rain. I Numbers 35:6 Isaiah 4:2-6 (Isaiah 3:12-4:6 BRB) Isaiah says The princes will pluck my people out, and
women will rule over them. My people, your leaders have caused
you to err, and disturbed the way of your paths.
This aligns
with the spies influencing Israel to not go into the land
(Num 13:1-43).
Note the way Isaiah calls these men women.
Isaiah says Yahvah stands up to plead, and stands to
judge his people.
This aligns with the way Yahvah made
the adult generation wander in the wilderness for 40 years
as a consequence for their disobedience
(Num 14:26-35).
Isaiah says In that day the glory and honor of Yahvah will
shine forth, and the fruit of the land will be excellent and
pleasing for the remnant of Israel.
This aligns with the
second generation that would survive the 40 years and inherit
the land, and it's fruit, afterwards
(Num 14:26-35).
