Isaiah Job

Isaiah chapter 27 and the book of Job.

FE 1In that day the Master will visit with his hard and great and strong sword on Leviathan the piercing Hivite, the dragon, and on Leviathan the crooked Hivite, and he will kill the dragon that is in the sea. I Job 3:8 Isaiah 27:12In that day, sing to Israel of a vineyard of wine. 3I, the Master, do keep it; I will water it continually; I will visit it and keep it night and day. 4You have no hedge; who then set in you the briers and the thorns? I will blow at the vineyard from near and will burn it together. 5Or let Israel take hold of my strength, and I will make peace for him, peace I will give him. Isaiah 27:2-56He will cause those who come of Jacob to take root; Israel will blossom and bud and fill the face of the world with fruit. Isaiah 27:67Has the Master struck the oppressor as he struck those who struck him, or is he killed according to the slaughter of those who are killed by him? 8In measure by which he has measured, you will judge him; in what he has devised, in fierce anger on a day of blasting heat. 9Therefore, by this the iniquity of Jacob will be forgiven; and with all this fruit his sin will be taken away; when he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk-stones that are broken in pieces; likewise, the images and idols will not stand up. 10For the strong city will be forlorn and deserted and forsaken and left desolate like a wilderness; there the calf will feed, and there he will lie down and consume its grass. 11Its boughs are withered and they will be broken off; the women come and set them on fire; for it is a people of no understanding; therefore he who made them will not have mercy on them, and he who formed them will show them no favor. Isaiah 27:7-1112It will come to pass in that day that the Master will stir up the people from the channel of the river to the river of Mizraim and you will be gathered to each other children of Israel. 13It will come to pass in that day the great trumpet will be blown and those who were lost in the land of Mizraim and those who were scattered in the land of Assyria will come in and bow to the Master in the land of the Master even on his holy mountain in Jerusalem. Isaiah 27:12-13 (Isaiah 27 BRB)

Leviathan

Peace

FE 1Job answered the Master and said: 2I know that you can do all these things, and that no purpose can be hidden from you. 3Who am I to think that I can give counsel without knowledge? Therefore you have declared to me that I have uttered what I did not understand; things too wonderful for me which I did not know. Job 42:1-34Hear me, I ask, and I will speak; I will ask you, and declare to me. 5I have heard you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you. 6Therefore I will keep silent and repent in dust and ashes. Job 42:4-6 (Job 42:1-6 BRB)
