Isaiah 1 John
Isaiah chapter 60 and the epistle of 1 John.
FE 1Arise, shine; for your light is come, and the glory of the Master will rise on you. P Ephesians 5:14
2Darkness will cover the land, and thick darkness the peoples; but the Master will shine on you, and his glory will be seen on you.
3The peoples will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Isaiah 60:1-34Lift up your eyes all around and see; they gather themselves all together, they come to you; your sons will come from far away, and your daughters will be nursed in cradles.
5Then you will see, and your face will brighten, and you will rejoice; and your heart will be at ease; because the riches of the sea will be turned to you, the strength of the peoples will come to you.
6A multitude of camels will cover you, the camels of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba will come; they will bring gold and frankincense, and will publish abroad the praises of the Master.
7All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth will minister to you; they will come up with acceptance on my altar, and I will glorify the house of my beauty.
Isaiah 60:4-78Who are these that fly like clouds and like the doves to their windows?
9For the islands will wait for me, and the boats of Tarshish as in former days, to bring your sons from far away, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the Master your god, and the holy one of Israel, because he has glorified you.
10The children of foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will minister to you; for in my anger I struck you, but in my pleasure I have had mercy on you.
11Therefore your gates will be open continually; they will not be shut day nor night, that men may bring to you the armies of the peoples, and their kings led captive.
12For the people and the kingdom that will not serve you will perish; yes, those peoples will be utterly destroyed by the sword.
Isaiah 60:8-1213The glory of Lebanon will come to you, the fir tree, the pine, and the cypress together, to beautify the place of my holy place; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
14The children of those who oppressed you will also come bowing down to you; and all those who provoked you will give homage at the soles of your feet; and they will call you, The City of the Master, the Zion of the holy one of Israel.
Isaiah 60:13-1415Where you have been forsaken and hated so that no man passed through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
16You will also gain the wealth of the peoples, and will obtain the wealth of kings; and you will know that I, the Master, am your savior and your redeemer, the mighty one of Jacob.
17Instead of brass I will bring gold, and instead of iron I will bring silver, and instead of trees, brass, and instead of stones, iron; I will also make your officers, peace, and your rulers, righteousness.
18Violence will not be heard in your land any longer, nor spoil and destruction inside your borders; and they will call your walls, Salvation, and your gates, Praise.
19The sun will not be your light by day; nor for brightness will the moon give light to you; for the Master will be to you an everlasting light, and your god and your glory;
20your sun will no longer go down; nor will your moon withdraw itself; for the Master will be to you an everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be ended. S Jeremiah 31:35-36
21All of your righteous people will inherit the land forever; the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, will be glorified.
22The smallest one will become 1,000s, and the least one a strong people; I, the Master, will hurry it in its time. Isaiah 60:15-22 (Isaiah 60 BRB)
