Isaiah Hosea
Isaiah chapter 23 and the book of Hosea.
FE 1The burden of Tyre: Howl, boats of Tarshish, for he who brings merchandise is plundered. From the land of Kittim the news has been revealed to us.
Isaiah 23:12Be still inhabitants of the islands, the merchants of Sidon that passed the sea.
3Your commerce is on many waters, seed of merchants; the harvest of the river is her revenue, and she is a mart of peoples.
Isaiah 23:2-34Be ashamed, Sidon; for the sea has spoken, even the strength of the sea, saying, I have not been in travail nor have I given birth to sons, nor have I reared young men nor have I brought up virgins.
5When the news reaches Mizraim, they will be in pain over the report of Tyre.
Isaiah 23:4-56Pass to Tarshish; howl inhabitants of the islands.
7Is this your mighty city, whose antiquity is of ancient days? Her own feet will carry her far away to reside temporarily.
8Who has taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning city, whose merchants are princes, whose traders are the honorable of the land?
9The Master of hosts has purposed it, to bring to an end the glory of every mighty man and to bring into dishonor all the honorable men of the land.
Isaiah 23:6-910Pass through your land like a river, daughter of Tarshish; there is no one to drive you away.
11He stretched out his hand over the sea and he angered the kingdoms; the Master has given a commandment against Phoencia to destroy its mighty men.
12He said, You will not become mighty any longer, oppressed virgin, daughter of Sidon; Isaiah 23:10-12arise, pass to Kittim; there you will also have no rest.
13The land of the Chaldeans; this is the people, and not the Assyrians, who destroyed it; they appointed spies who spied on her houses, and they brought it to ruin.
Isaiah 23:12-1314Howl, boats of Tarshish; for your stronghold is plundered.
Isaiah 23:1415It will come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten for 70 years according to the days of 1 king. I Zechariah 1:12 After the end of 70 years they will sing to Tyre a prostitute's song: I Zechariah 2:10
16Take a harp, go about the city, prostitute that has been forgotten; play sweet melodies, sing many songs, that you may be remembered.
Isaiah 23:15-1617It will come to pass at the end of 70 years that the Master will visit Tyre and she will turn to her traffic and commit fornications with all the kingdoms that are on the face of the land.
18Her merchandise and her hire will be holy to the Master. It will not be treasured nor laid up, for her merchandise will be for those who live before the Master I Zechariah 3:7 to eat abundantly I Zechariah 3:10 and replace their old garments with new ones. I Zechariah 3:4 Isaiah 23:17-18 (Isaiah 23 BRB)

Gomer Leaves
FE 1Say to your brothers, Ammi and to your sisters Ruhamah.
Hosea 2:12Plead with your mother, plead; for she is not my wife, nor am I her husband; therefore let her put away her prostitutions out of her sight and her adulteries from between her breasts,
3lest I strip her naked and leave her bare as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness and as a dry land, and cause her to die with thirst.
4I will not have mercy on her sons; for they are the children of prostitutions.
5For their mother has played the prostitute; she that conceived them has done shamefully; for she said, I will go after my lovers who give me my bread and my water, my clothes and my linen, my oil and everything that I need.
6Therefore I will hedge up her way with thorns, and fence her paths so that she will not find her paths.
7She will follow after her lovers and will not overtake them, and she will seek them, but will not find them; then she will say, I will return and go to my 1st husband; for it was better with me then than now.
8For she did not know that it was I who gave her wheat and wine and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, some of which they made for the images of lord.
Hosea 2:2-89Therefore I will return and take away my wheat in its time and my wine in its season, and will take away my wool and my linen which I gave her to cover her nakedness.
10Now I will uncover her nakedness in the presence of her lovers, and no one will deliver her out of my hands.
11I will cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new months, her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts.
12I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, of which she said, These are presents which my lovers have given me; and I will make them a forest, and the animals of the field will eat them.
13I will punish her for the evils of the days of the lords, in which she burned incense to them and decked herself with her earrings and her pearls and went after her lovers and forgot me, says the Master. Hosea 2:9-13 (Hosea 2:1-13 BRB)
Hosea Takes Gomer Back
14Therefore I will comfort her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak lovingly to her.
15I will give her vineyards from there, and the valley of Achor that it may open her understanding; and she will be humbled there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Mizraim.
Hosea 2:14-1516It will be in that day, says the Master, that you will call me, My husband, and will not call me, Lord, any longer.
17For I will take away the names of the lords out of her mouth, and they will not remember them any longer.
18In that day, I will make a contract for them with the animals of the field and with the birds of the air and with the creeping things of the ground; and I will do away with the bow and the sword and the battle out of the land, and I will make them live in safety.
19I will betroth you to me forever; yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness and in justice and in lovingkindness and in mercy.
20I will betroth you to me in faithfulness; and you will know the Master.
Hosea 2:16-2021It will come to pass in that day, says the Master, I will answer the skies, and they will answer the land;
22and the land will answer the grain and the wine and the oil; and they will answer Jezreel.
23I will sow her for myself in the land and I will have mercy on Lo Ruhamah and I will call Lo Ammi, My people, and they will say, You are my god. P Romans 9:25 Hosea 2:21-23 (Hosea 2:14-23 BRB)
