Isaiah 3:8-910Say to the righteous that it will be well with them, for they will eat the fruit of their actions. I Leviticus 10:12-13
11Woe to the wicked, it will be ill with him, for the reward of his hands will be given him. Isaiah 3:10-11 (Isaiah 3:1-11 BRB)
Isaiah says when a man will take hold of his brother in
the house of his father, and say to him, You have clothing, be
our ruler.
This aligns with the ordination of Aaron, by his
brother Moses, as the high priest of Israel, a ceremony which
involved dressing him in a special robe
(Lev 8:5-9).
Isaiah says provoking god in the majesty of his glory.
This matches the story of Nadab and Abihu offering strange incense
in the presence of Yahvah
(Lev 10:1).
Isaiah says Their hypocrisy witnesses against them; and they
declare their sins like Sodom, they do not hide them. Woe to their
soul, for they have worked evil to themselves.
Sodom and Gomorrah
were destroyed by fire of course, as were Nadab and Abihu
(Lev 10:2).
Isaiah says Say to the righteous that it will be well
with them; for they will eat the fruit of their actions.
This aligns with Moses telling Aaron and his remaining sons
to eat their share of the offerings for their work
(Lev 10:12-15).
