Isaiah 1 Timothy
Isaiah 56:1-8 and the epistle of 1 Timothy.
1.1Thus says the Master:
1.2Preserve judgment,
1.3and do justice;
1.4for my salvation will come soon
1.5and my righteousness will be revealed.
2.1Blessed is the man who does this
2.2and the son of man who lays hold on it,
2.3he who also preserves the sabbath that he may not profane it
2.4and keeps his hands from doing any evil.
Isaiah 56:1-23.1Do not let the son of the foreigner who follows the Master speak, saying,
3.2The Master has utterly separated me from his people,
3.3nor let the eunuch say,
3.4I am a dry tree.
4.1For, thus says the Master: To the eunuchs who preserve my sabbaths
4.2and choose the things that please me
4.3and take hold of my contract,
5.1I will give to them in my house
5.2and inside my walls a place
5.3and a name better than sons and daughters.
5.4I will give them an everlasting name
5.5that will not be cut off.
6.1Also to the children of the strangers who follow the Master,
6.2to serve him
6.3and to love the name of the Master,
6.4to be his servants,
6.5each who keeps from profaning the sabbath
6.6and takes hold of my contract,
7.1even them I will bring to my holy mountain
7.2and make them joyful in my house of prayer.
7.3Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
7.4will be accepted on my altar.
7.5For my house will be called
7.6a house of prayer Q Matthew 21:13 Q Mark 11:17 Q Luke 19:46 for all peoples.
8.1Thus says the Master God
8.2who gathers the outcasts of Israel,
8.3Yet I will gather others to him,
8.4besides those who were gathered to him. Isaiah 56:3-8 (Isaiah 56:1-8 BRB)
Isaiah says Yahvah's house will be called a house of
prayer for all nations. This matches prayer for all men.
1Therefore, I beg you 1st of all, to offer to God 1|4 petitions, 2|4 and prayers, 3|4 and supplications, 4|4 and thanksgiving, for the sake of all the children of men,
2for the sake of kings and princes, that we may live a quiet and peaceable life, in all fear of God and purity,
3for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God, our lifegiver,
4he who desires all the children of men will have life, and will return to the knowledge of the truth,
5for there is 1 God, and 1 mediator between God and the children of men, the son of man, Joshua the Messiah,
6who gave himself a ransom for all, a testimony which came in due time.
1 Timothy 2:1-67For that testimony, I was appointed a preacher and an apostle; I tell the truth and I do not lie; and I became the teacher of the peoples in a true belief. 1 Timothy 2:7-8 (1 Timothy 2:1-7 BRB)
