FE 1The land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali have rejoiced, the mighty dominion, the way by the sea, the passing of the Jordan River, the Galilee of the peoples. 2The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light and those who lived in the land of the shadow of death light has risen on them. I 2 Samuel 7:12-13 The zeal of the Master of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9:5-7 (Isaiah 9:1-7 BRB)

Isaiah says The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali have rejoiced; the mighty dominion, the way by the sea, the country beyond the Jordan River, and Galilee of the Gentiles, have rejoiced. This aligns with Hiram, the king of Tyre, who sent cedar logs by sea to build a house for David (2 Sam 5:11-12).

Isaiah says You have multiplied the people. This aligns with David having more children in Jerusalem (2 Sam 5:13-15).

Isaiah says you have broken the yoke of his burden and the staff of his shoulder and the rod of his oppressor. This aligns with David defeating the Philistines (2 Sam 5:17-25).

Isaiah says every voice which is heard brings terror and garments rolled in blood. This likely aligns with the barrenness of Michal, a story nestled inside the story of David bringing the ark to Zion (2 Sam 6:1-23).

Isaiah says Of the increase of his government and of his peace there will not be an end, on the throne of David and on his kingdom, to establish it and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness from now on, even forever. This aligns with the covenant of a perpetual kingdom promised David (2 Sam 7:1-16).
