Isaiah Philippians
Isaiah 44:23-45:25 and the epistle of Philippians.
23Sing, skies; for the Master has done it; shout, foundations of the land; break forth into singing, mountains, forest, and every tree in it. For the Master has saved Jacob and glorified himself in Israel.
Isaiah 44:2324Thus says the Master who saved you and who formed you from the womb and helped you, Isaiah 44:24I am the Master who made all things; who stretched out the skies alone; who spread out the land by myself;
25who makes void the signs of the diviners and despises their divinations; who turns wise men backward and makes their knowledge foolish;
26who confirms the word of his servant and performs the counsel of his messengers; Isaiah 44:24-26who said to Jerusalem, You will be inhabited, and to the cities of Judah, You will be built, and, I will raise up its ruins;
27who said to the deep, Be dry, and who dried up the rivers;
28who said of Cyrus, He is my shepherd and will perform all my pleasure; even saying to Jerusalem, You will be built; and to the house, Your foundations will be laid. Isaiah 44:26-28
FE 1Thus says the Master to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have upheld, to subdue peoples before him, I will loose the loins of kings, to open the doors before him, and the gates will not be shut;
2I will go before you, and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of brass and cut apart the bars of iron;
3and I will give you the treasures that are hidden in darkness and the buried riches of the secret places that you may know that I, the Master, who call you by your name, am the god of Israel.
4For the sake of my servant Jacob and Israel my chosen I have even called you by your name. I have surnamed you though you have not known me.
5I am the Master, and there is no one else; there is no god besides me; I have girded you, though you have not known me;
6that they may know from the rising of the sun and from the west that there is no one besides me; I am the Master, and there is no one else.
7I form light and create darkness; I make peace and create hardship; I, the Master, do all these things.
Isaiah 45:1-78Drop down, skies, from above, and let the clouds pour down righteousness; let the land open and let salvation be multiplied and let righteousness spring up; I, the Master, have created these things.
Isaiah 45:89Woe to him who strives with his maker; an earthen vessel that strives with him who made it from the land. Does the clay say to the potter, What are you making, or, I am not the work of your hands?
10Woe to him who says to his father, What are you begetting, or to his mother, What have you conceived?
Isaiah 45:9-1011Thus says the Master the holy one of Israel and his maker, the Master of hosts is his name, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons; and concerning the work of my hands, command me.
12I have made the land and created the son of man on it. I, even my hands, have stretched out the skies and all their host I have commanded.
13I have stirred him up in righteousness and I will make smooth all his ways; he will build my city and will send my captivity back, not for a price nor for a bribe, says the Master of hosts.
Isaiah 45:11-1314Thus says the Master: The labor of Mizraim and the merchants of Cush and the Sabeans, men of stature, will come over to you and will be yours; and they will come after you; in chains they will come over, and they will fall down before you, and will make supplication to you, saying, Surely god is in you, and there is no other god.
Isaiah 45:1415Truly you are a shelter, god, the god of Israel, and his savior.
16They who walk in confusion and make idols are all ashamed and confounded together;
17but the salvation of Israel is by the Master, the savior of the world; you will not be ashamed nor confounded forever and ever.
Isaiah 45:15-1718For, thus says the Master who created the skies, he is the god who formed the land and made it, he has established it, he did not create it in vain but that his creation might live in it, I am the Master and there is no one else.
19I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the land; I did not say to the seed of Jacob, Seek me, in vain; I, the Master, speak righteousness; I declare things that are right.
Isaiah 45:18-1920Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, you who are delivered of the peoples; they have no knowledge who carry a graven image of tree and pray to a god that cannot save.
21Tell and draw near and consult together; who has declared this from ancient time? Was it not I, the Master, from the beginning? Q Acts 15:18 There is no other god besides me; a just god and savior; there is no one besides me.
Isaiah 45:20-2122Draw near to me and be saved, all the ends of the land; for I am the Master, and there is no one else.
23I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness and will not return, to me every knee will bow, every tongue will swear. Q Romans 14:11 P Philippians 2:10-11
24They will say, In the Master is righteousness; even to him mighty men will come; and all who disgrace you will be ashamed.
25In the Master all the seed of Israel will be justified and will glory. Isaiah 45:22-25 (Isaiah 44:23-45:25 BRB)
Knee Bow/Tongue Confess
9Because of this, god has also highly exalted him and given him a name which is greater than all names,
10that in the name of Joshua, every knee will bow in the skies and on land and under the land
11and every tongue will confess, that the Master is Joshua the anointed P Isaiah 45:23 to the glory of god, his father. (Philippians 2:9-11 BRB)
