Isaiah Philippians
Isaiah 44:23-45:25 and the epistle of Philippians.
23.1Sing, skies; for the Master has done it;
23.2shout, foundations of the land;
23.3break forth into singing, mountains,
23.4forest, and every tree in it.
23.5For the Master has saved Jacob
23.6and glorified himself in Israel.
Isaiah 44:23 24.1Thus says the Master
24.2who saved you and who formed you from the womb and helped you,
Isaiah 44:2424.3I am the Master
24.4who made all things;
24.5who stretched out the skies alone;
24.6who spread out the land by myself;
25.1who makes void the signs of the diviners
25.2and despises their divinations;
25.3who turns wise men backward
25.4and makes their knowledge foolish;
26.1who confirms the word of his servant
26.2and performs the counsel of his messengers;
Isaiah 44:24.3-2626.3who said to Jerusalem, You will be inhabited,
26.4and to the cities of Judah, You will be built,
26.5and, I will raise up its ruins;
27.1who said to the deep, Be dry,
27.2and who dried up the rivers;
28.1who said of Cyrus, He is my shepherd
28.2and will perform all my pleasure;
28.3even saying to Jerusalem, You will be built;
28.4and to the house, Your foundations will be laid. Isaiah 44:26.3-28
1.1Thus says the Master to his anointed,
1.2to Cyrus, whose right hand I have upheld,
1.3to subdue peoples before him,
1.4I will loose the loins of kings,
1.5to open the doors before him,
1.6and the gates will not be shut;
2.1I will go before you,
2.2and make the crooked places straight;
2.3I will break in pieces the gates of brass
2.4and cut apart the bars of iron;
3.1and I will give you the treasures that are hidden in darkness
3.2and the buried riches of the secret places
3.3that you may know that I, the Master,
3.4who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.
4.1For the sake of my servant Jacob
4.2and Israel my chosen
4.3I have even called you by your name.
4.4I have surnamed you
4.5though you have not known me.
5.1I am the Master, and there is no one else;
5.2there is no God besides me;
5.3I have girded you,
5.4though you have not known me;
6.1that they may know from the rising of the sun
6.2and from the west
6.3that there is no one besides me;
6.4I am the Master, and there is no one else.
7.1I form light and create darkness;
7.2I make peace and create hardship;
7.3I, the Master, do all these things.
Isaiah 45:1-78.1Drop down, skies, from above,
8.2and let the clouds pour down righteousness;
8.3let the land open
8.4and let salvation be multiplied
8.5and let righteousness spring up;
8.6I, the Master, have created these things.
Isaiah 45:89.1Woe to him who strives with his maker;
9.2an earthen vessel that strives
9.3with him who made it from the land.
9.4Does the clay say to the potter,
9.5What are you making, or,
9.6I am not the work of your hands?
10.1Woe to him who says to his father,
10.2What are you begetting,
10.3or to his mother,
10.4What have you conceived?
Isaiah 45:9-1011.1Thus says the Master
11.2the holy one of Israel and his maker,
11.3the Master of Hosts is his name,
11.4Ask me of things to come concerning my sons;
11.5and concerning the work of my hands, command me.
12.1I have made the land
12.2and created the son of man on it.
12.3I, even my hands, have stretched out the skies
12.4and all their host I have commanded.
13.1I have stirred him up in righteousness
13.2and I will make smooth all his ways;
13.3he will build my city
13.4and will send my captivity back,
13.5not for a price nor for a bribe,
13.6says the Master of Hosts.
Isaiah 45:11-1314.1Thus says the Master:
14.2The labor of Mizraim and the merchants of Cush
14.3and the Sabeans, men of stature,
14.4will come over to you
14.5and will be yours;
14.6and they will come after you;
14.7in chains they will come over,
14.8and they will fall down before you,
14.9and will make supplication to you, saying,
14.10Surely God is in you,
14.11and there is no other God.
Isaiah 45:1415.1Truly you are a shelter, God,
15.2the God of Israel, and his savior.
16.1They who walk in confusion and make idols
16.2are all ashamed and confounded together;
17.1but the salvation of Israel is by the Master,
17.2the savior of the world;
17.3you will not be ashamed nor confounded
17.4forever and ever.
Isaiah 45:15-1718.1For, thus says the Master
18.2who created the skies,
18.3he is the God
18.4who formed the land and made it,
18.5he has established it,
18.6he did not create it in vain
18.7but that his creation might live in it,
18.8I am the Master
18.9and there is no one else.
19.1I have not spoken in secret,
19.2in a dark place of the land;
19.3I did not say to the seed of Jacob,
19.4Seek me, in vain;
19.5I, the Master, speak righteousness;
19.6I declare things that are right.
Isaiah 45:18-1920.1Assemble yourselves and come;
20.2draw near together, you who are delivered of the peoples;
20.3they have no knowledge who carry a graven image of tree
20.4and pray to a God that cannot save.
21.1Tell and draw near and consult together;
21.2who has declared this from ancient time?
21.3Was it not I, the Master, from the beginning? P Acts 15:18
21.4There is no other God besides me;
21.5a just God and savior;
21.6there is no one besides me.
Isaiah 45:20-2122.1Draw near to me and be saved,
22.2all the ends of the land;
22.3for I am the Master, and there is no one else.
23.1I have sworn by myself,
23.2the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness
23.3and will not return,
23.4to me every knee will bow,
23.5every tongue will swear. Q Romans 14:11 P Philippians 2:10-11
24.1They will say, In the Master is righteousness;
24.2even to him mighty men will come;
24.3and all who disgrace you
24.4will be ashamed.
25.1In the Master
25.2all the seed of Israel

9.1Because of this, God has also highly exalted him
9.2and given him a name which is greater than all names,
10.1that in the name of Joshua, every knee will bow
10.2in the skies and on land and under the land
