Isaiah Proverbs

Isaiah chapter 29 and the book of Proverbs.

1.1Woe Ariel, Ariel, 1.2the city where David lived. 1.3Add year to year. 1.4Let them keep festivals. 2.1Yet I will distress Ariel 2.2and there will be heaviness and lamentations 2.3and it will be to me as Ariel. 3.1I will camp against you all around 3.2and I will lay a siege against you with ramparts 3.3and I will raise forts against you. 4.1You will be brought down and will speak from the land 4.2and your words will be low out of the dust 4.3and your voice will be heard from the ground like that of a diviner 4.4and your speech will whisper out of the dust. Isaiah 29:1-45.1The multitude of your oppressors will be like fine dust 5.2and the multitude of the terrible ones will be as the chaff that passes away, 5.3yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly. 6.1You will be visited by the Master of Hosts 6.2with quakes and thunder and great noise 6.3and with storm and tempest and the flame of devouring fire. 7.1The multitude of all the peoples that fight against Zion, 7.2even all the armies and multitudes that distress her, 7.3will be as a vision in the night. 8.1It will be even as when a hungry man dreams that he is eating 8.2and when he awakes he is weary and famished, 8.3or as when a thirsty man dreams that he is drinking, 8.4but when he awakes he is faint with his thirst not quenched, 8.5so will be the multitude of all the peoples 8.6that fight against the mount of Zion. Isaiah 29:5-89.1They are dumbfounded and amazed 9.2and they are troubled and stagger 9.3and they are drunk, but not with wine 9.4and they stagger, but not with strong drink. 10.1For the Master has poured out on them a spirit of deep sleep 10.2and it has closed their eyes and also the eyes of the prophets 10.3and rulers and the seers who see the hidden things. Isaiah 29:9-1011The vision of all is become to them as the words of a scroll that is sealed which men deliver to one who is learned, a scribe of scrolls, saying, Read this, and he says, I cannot for it is sealed, 12and the scroll is given to him who is not learned saying, Read this, and he says, I am not learned. Isaiah 29:11-1213.1The Master said: 13.2Since this people draw near with their mouth 13.3and with their lips honor, 13.4but have removed their heart far from me 13.5and their fear toward me 13.6is by the commandments and teachings of men, Q Matthew 15:8 Q Mark 7:6-7 14.1therefore I will proceed to set apart this people 14.2by a great wonder and in a marvelous manner, 14.3and the wisdom of their wise men will perish 14.4and the understanding of their prudent men will be taken away. Q 1 Corinthians 1:19 15.1Woe to those who act perversely 15.2to hide their counsel from the Master 15.3and their works are in the dark and they say, 15.4Who sees us? Who knows what we do corruptly? 16.1Surely you are esteemed 16.2as the potter's clay, 16.3for will the work say to him who made it, 16.4You did not make me, 16.5and the thing formed say of him who formed it, 16.6He had no understanding? Q Romans 9:20 Isaiah 29:13-16 17.1A little while and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, 17.2and the fruitful field will be reared as a forest. 18.1In that day the deaf will hear the words of the scroll 18.3and the eyes of the blind will see 18.4out of darkness and obscurity. 19.1The meek will also increase their joy in the Master 19.2and the needy man will rejoice in the holy one of Israel. 20.1For the oppressor is brought to nothing 20.2and the scorner is consumed 20.3and all that incite to iniquity are cut off; 21.1those who cause a man to sin by the word 21.2and lay a snare for him who reprimands 21.3and turn aside the righteous into darkness. Isaiah 29:17-2122.1Therefore, thus says the Master, who saved Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: 22.2Jacob will not be ashamed now, 22.3nor will his face grow pale now. 23.1But when his sons see the work of my hands 23.2in the middle of him 23.3they will holy my name 23.4and holy the holy one of Jacob 23.5and will glorify the God of Israel. 24.1The foolish ones whose spirit also erred will come to understanding 24.2and fools will learn to be obedient.
