Isaiah 2 Timothy

Isaiah chapter 49 and the epistle of 2 Timothy.

1.1Listen to me, islands; 1.2listen to me, peoples, 1.3the Master has called me from far away; 1.4from the womb, and from the body of my mother he has made mention of my name. 2.1He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; 2.2in the shadow of his hand he has hidden me 2.3and made me a chosen arrow; 2.4in his quiver he has hidden me, 3.1and said to me, You are my servant, 3.2Israel, in whom I will be glorified. 4.1I have not said to the children of Jacob that I have labored in vain, 4.2nor that I have spent my strength for nothing. 4.3Surely my judgment is before the Master, 4.4and my work before my God. Isaiah 49:1-45.1Now, thus says the Master, 5.2who formed me from the womb to be his servant, 5.3to bring Jacob back to him 5.4and gather Israel together; 5.5I am glorified in the eyes of the Master, 5.6and my God has become my strength. 6.1He said, 6.2It is a small thing that you should be my servant 6.3to raise up the tribes of Jacob 6.4and to restore the heirs of Israel; 6.5I have given you to be a light to the peoples, 6.6that you might be my salvation to the ends of the land. Q Acts 13:47 Isaiah 49:5-6 7.1Thus says the Master 7.2the holy one of Israel and his savior 7.3to him whose soul is despised, 7.4to him who is abhorred by the people 7.5and by the servants of the rulers, 7.6Kings will see and arise, 7.7princes will also bow to him, 7.8because of the Master who is faithful 7.9and the holy one of Israel who has chosen you. Isaiah 49:78.1Thus says the Master: 8.2In an acceptable time I have answered you, 8.3and in a day of salvation I have helped you; Q 2 Corinthians 6:2 8.4and I have formed you and have given you 8.5for a contract to the people and a light to the peoples, 8.6to establish the land, 8.7to cause you to inherit the desolate heritages; 9.1that you may say to the prisoners, Go forth; 9.2to those who are shut up, Show yourselves, come out. Isaiah 49:8-99.3They will feed in the paths 9.4and their pastures will be in all highways. 10.1They will not hunger nor thirst; 10.2nor will the sultry heat nor the sun strike them; S Jonah 4:8 10.3for he who is merciful to them will lead them, 10.4and by the springs of water he will bring them. S Psalms 23:2 11.1I will make all mountains to be highways, S Isaiah 40:3 11.2and the highways will be exalted. 1|4 12.1These will come from far away, 2|4 12.2and these from the north 3|4 12.3and these from the islands of the sea, 4|4 12.4and from the coast of Aswan. Isaiah 49:9.3-12 13.1Sing, skies, 13.2and be joyful, land, 13.3and break forth into singing, mountains; 13.4for the Master has comforted his people 13.5and will have mercy on his afflicted. Isaiah 49:1314.1But Zion said, The Master has forsaken me 14.2and the Master has forgotten me. Isaiah 49:1415.1Can a woman forget her sucking child, 15.2that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? 15.3Yes, they may forget, 15.4but I will not forget you. 16.1I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; 16.2your fortified walls are continually before me. 17.1Your sons who caused your destruction 17.2and those who laid you waste will make haste and go forth from you. 18.1Lift up your eyes all around and look; 18.2they gather themselves together and come to you. 18.3As I live, says the Master, 18.4you will surely clothe yourself with all of them as with an ornament, 18.5and you will be adorned like a bride. Isaiah 49:15-1819.1For your waste and your desolate places 19.2and the land of your destruction 19.3will even now be too narrow by reason of the inhabitants, 19.4and those who swallowed you up will flee away. 20.1The sons which you will have during the time of your bereavement 20.2will say again in your ears, 20.3The place is too narrow for us; 20.4make room for us to live. S 2 Kings 6:1 21.1You will say in your heart, 21.2Who has borne me these? 21.3For I have been bereaved and barren, 21.4a captive, and wandering to and fro. 21.5Who has brought up these? 21.6I was left alone; 21.7and these sons, where have they been? Isaiah 49:19-2122.1Thus says the Master God: 22.2I will lift up my hand to the peoples 22.3and set up my standard to the peoples; 22.4and they will bring your sons in their arms, 22.5and your daughters will be carried on their shoulders. 23.1Kings will be your foster fathers, 23.2and their queens your nursing mothers; 23.3they will bow down to you with their faces to the ground 23.4and will lick the dust off your feet; 23.5and you will know that I am the Master; 23.6for they who wait for me will not be ashamed. Isaiah 49:22-23A 24.1Can the prey be taken away from the mighty, B 24.2or a lawful captive delivered? Isaiah 49:24X 25.1For that, thus says the Master: B' 25.2Even the prey of the mighty will be taken away A' 25.3and the captives of the mighty will be delivered; 25.4and I will contend with him who contends with you, 25.5and I will save your sons. 26.1I will cause your oppressors to eat their own flesh; 26.2and they will be drunk with their own blood as with new wine; 26.3and all men will know 26.4that I, the Master, am your savior 26.5and your helper, the mighty one of Jacob.
