Isaiah Psalms
Isaiah chapter 26 and the book of Psalms.
1.1In that day this song will be sung in the land of Judah:
1.2City whose salvation has prevailed,
1.3build the walls and the bulwarks.
2.1Open the gates
2.2that the righteous peoples
2.3who preserve truth may enter in. I Psalms 24:9
3.1You will keep us in perfect peace,
3.2for in you we have trusted,
3.3Master, forever and ever,
4.1for the Master God,
4.2the mighty, is everlasting.
5.1He brings down those who live on high;
5.2the lofty city, he will lay it low,
5.3even to the ground;
5.4he brings it even to the dust.
6.1The foot will tread it down,
6.2even the feet of the poor
6.3and the steps of the needy.
Isaiah 26:1-67.1The way of the humble is straight;
7.2the path of the righteous is straight and level.
8.1Yes, in the way of your judgments, Master,
8.2we have waited for you;
8.3the desire of our soul is for your name,
8.4and remembrance of you.
9.1My soul has desired you in the night;
9.2yes, with my spirit inside me I will seek you early;
9.3for when your judgments are in the land,
9.4the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
10.1The wicked has gone far off
10.2that he may not learn righteousness;
10.3chastisement in the land brings correction;
10.4the wicked will not look at the majesty of the Master.
11.1Master, when your hand is lifted up,
11.2they will not see;
11.3but they will see and be ashamed for the zeal of the people;
11.4yes, let the fire of the oven devour your enemies.
Isaiah 26:7-1112.1Master, you will give us peace;
12.2for you have also worked all our works for us.
13.1Master our God, other masters besides you have lorded over us;
13.2but your name alone we will mention;
14.1for they do not raise the dead,
14.2they do not raise the mighty men;
14.3therefore you have visited and destroyed them,
14.4and made all their memory to perish.
15.1You have increased upon the people, Master,
15.2you have increased upon the people;
15.3you have removed it far away
15.4and scattered it to all the ends of the land.
Isaiah 26:12-1516.1Master, in distress they have sought you,
16.2and in siege they muttered the incantation
16.3invoking your discipline.
17.1Like a pregnant woman, who draws near the time of delivery,
17.2and is in pain, and cries out in her pangs;
17.3so have we been in your sight, Master.
18.1We have been pregnant, we have been in pain
18.2like those who brought forth wind;
18.3save us lest we perish in the land,
18.4lest the inhabitants of the world come to an end.
Isaiah 26:16-1819.1Your dead men will live,
19.2their dead bodies will arise.
19.3Those who live in the dust
19.4will awake and sing,
19.5for your dew is a dew of light,
19.6and the land of the Rephaites you will overthrow.
Isaiah 26:1920.1Come, my people, enter into your chambers
20.2and shut your doors behind you;
20.3hide yourselves as it were for a little time,
20.4until my indignation has passed away.
21.1For the Master is coming out of his place
21.2to punish the inhabitants of the land for their iniquity;
21.3and the land will also disclose her blood,

4.1for you are not a God that has pleasure in wickedness,
4.2nor will evil live with you.
5.1The proud will not stand in your sight;
5.2you hate all workers of iniquity.
6.1You will destroy those who speak falsehood;

Judah
31.1for there is no God except the Master,
31.2and there is no rock like our God.
32.1It is God that girds me with strength
32.2and makes my way perfect.
33.1He makes my feet like deer's feet
33.2and sets me on high places. P Habakkuk 3:19
34.1He trains my hands to war,
34.2and he strengthens my arms like a bow of brass.
35.1You have also given me the shield of your salvation,
35.2and your right hand has held me up,
35.3and your discipline has made me great.
36.1You have steadied my legs under me
36.2that my ankles may not be weakened.
37.1I will pursue my enemies and overtake them,
37.2and I will not turn again until they are consumed.
38.1I will strike them so that they will not be able to stand;
38.2they will fall under my feet,
39.1for you have girded me with strength to the battle;
39.2you have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
40.1You have also defeated my enemies before me
40.2that I might silence those who hate me.
41.1They will cry, but there will not be anyone to save them;
41.2they will beg the Master, but he will not answer them.
42.1I will beat them small as the dust before the wind;
