Isaiah Micah
Isaiah chapter 20 covers the Going Naked and Barefoot passage in the book of Micah.
FE 1In the year that Tartan came to Ashdod, when Sargon king of Assyria sent him, and fought against Ashdod and took it,
2at that time the Master spoke by Isaiah son of Amos saying, Go and loose the sackcloth from off your loins and put off your shoes from your feet. He did so walking naked and barefoot. I Micah 1:8
Isaiah 20:1-23The Master said, As my servant Isaiah has walked naked and barefoot so there will be signs and wonders for 3 years on Mizraim and on Cush.
4The king of Assyria will lead away prisoners of Mizraim and captives of Cush, young and old, naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered, to the shame of Mizraim.
5They will be defeated and ashamed of Cush their trust and of Mizraim their glory.
6The inhabitants of this isle will say in that day, Here is our trust to whom we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria. How will we escape? Isaiah 20:3-6 (Isaiah 20 BRB)
Isaiah says Go and loose the sackcloth from off
your loins and put off your shoes from your feet. And
he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
This aligns
with Micah who also went barefoot and naked
(Mic 1:8).
